On the machines where we have updated the kernel to 2.6.39-400.214.4.el5uek
(we are using OracleLinux) we can't reproduce this issue. So maybe it's not
from the system scripts.

Also an other problem we had, the 8.2.2 version can't update the stock
rsyslog5. We had to update to an intermediary version (was it 8.2.1 or v7?)
and after that do an upgrade to 8.2.2.
