I was able to downgrade rsyslog back to 7.6.3 without issue, but some of the plugins, rsyslog-mmnormalize for example, don't seem to have the 7.6.3 versions available. I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 using ppa:adiscon/v7-stable. Hi folks, it looks like there is a problem with 7.6.4. It seems to misinterpret the traditional priority based filters. For the time being, I recommend *not* to install it. I am looking at the problem and a fix will probably be available soon (that's most probably one of the "can't I sneak in a small unproblematic little change into the stable" issue...).
