Yes, that's how it should work. Note, though, that those modules where it
makes sense try to check if it is a permanent or temporary glitch. So
usually there is one immediate retry done and an error only then reported
if things do not work.

Let's take the tcp forwarding sample. If the socket breaks, omfwd does try
to reconnect immediately and only if that fails an error is reported.
