I just came across this post from a year ago, and was interested in using this if it exists. I wondered if there had been any progress on this? Any chance of an update? Thanks, Paul

I think having a tool like this which is redesigned with the advanced features of rsyslog is a fantastic idea. It gives a tool to those who can't program and it would save time/code to maintain for everyone who would have otherwise just made their own. -- James -----Original Message----- From: rsyslog-bounces at lists.adiscon.com<http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog> [mailto:rsyslog-bounces at lists.adiscon.com<http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog>] On Behalf Of Nathan Brown Sent: Saturday, February 01, 2014 3:07 PM To: rsyslog-users Subject: Re: [rsyslog] Line length limitations with logger utility I'd be more than happy to stick it in the tools section. I'll try to get it using the max line length directive as well as the configure system to build it. The other feature I added to the tool was coalescing multi line log events. I realize that rsyslog has this capability as well but it didn't seem to cover all input modules, as I recall. Happy to add other features if anyone needs them. As far as the name is concerned I could see `rsyslogger` or `rlogger` for brevity. Opinions?
