Michael, as usual, the root cause is dumb, once you know it. Could you please apply this patch: https://github.com/rgerhards/rsyslog/commit/3b7bd0b7a7f0f5f1bf7609bdf34e7d9a32608ea6.patch and re-initiate the build. It should at least reduce the number of problems (there may be others, I haven't tried to identify that as a lot of the problems seem to be related to that patch).
