There was a commit in 8.11.0 (a7f2b153529) on 26 May that *might* have had an effect on this issue. I downloaded the 8.11.0 tar and confirmed that the segfault still occurs in 8.11.0. When I apply the patch I originally submitted, everything works fine with the test case (https://github.com/davidboles/snowflake.git) and my app.
