Has anybody had success using ereregex with the new RainerScript syntax? I
started this thread
<http://kb.monitorware.com/word-boundary-with-rainerscript-t12754.html> and
thought I had it working (because it was working in the web regex checker
<http://www.rsyslog.com/regex/>) but when I write it out in my .conf file
I'm getting errors such as:

rsyslogd: error during parsing file configfile.conf, on or before line 63:
syntax error on token 'ereregex' [v8.12.0 try http://www.rsyslog.com/e/2207
]

I even found this thread
<http://kb.monitorware.com/using-regex-expression-based-filters-t10336.html?hilit=ereregex#p18954>
from
way back in 2010 discussing the same thing, but with no responses. On
the RainerScript
page under Expressions <http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/rainerscript.html> I
don't see ereregex as supported, but under the Rsyslog Compare-Operations
<http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/v8-stable/configuration/filters.html#compare-operations>
it
is listed as an option. Given the config examples, perhaps it's only
possible via the legacy format, and it has simply not been ported to
RainerScript? If that's true, is there a plan to port this to RainerScript
at any point?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Jon
