CentOS 7 is _perfectly_ supported by current RSYSLOG-stable release. And
by "supported" I mean installable via product-specific YUM "repository"
and RPM packages.

Here:
        http://rpms.adiscon.com/v8-stable/
you can find the "rsyslog.repo" file that you can add to your system.

Afterwards, rsyslog can be easily updated with a standard "yum update".

As an example, here are the details about a CentOS 7 box I've setup a
couple of days ago:

- ------------------------------------------
[root@srv ~]$ cat /etc/centos-release
CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core)

[root@srv ~]$ ls -l /etc/yum.repos.d/rsyslog.repo
- -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 227 1 apr 2014 /etc/yum.repos.d/rsyslog.repo

[root@srv ~]$ md5sum /etc/yum.repos.d/rsyslog.repo
2415f084c70c17e5c5395a59ad763c79 /etc/yum.repos.d/rsyslog.repo

[root@srv ~]$ rpm -q rsyslog
rsyslog-8.16.0-3.el7.x86_64

[root@srv ~]$ rpm -qi rsyslog

Rsyslog is an enhanced, multi-threaded syslog daemon. It supports MySQL,
syslog/TCP, RFC 3195, permitted sender lists, filtering on any message part,
and fine grain output format control. It is compatible with stock sysklogd
and can be used as a drop-in replacement. Rsyslog is simple to set up, with
advanced features suitable for enterprise-class, encryption-protected syslog
relay chains.
