with UDP syslog, each message is a separate packet. With TCP, the systems don't
know what fits in a packet, they just send a stream of newline delimited data.
does that answer your question?

Subject: [rsyslog] does rsyslog forward single syslog message or multiple
syslog message over UDP ?
Hi All,
I am new to rsyslog. I have done rsyslog forwarding to remote server using
TCP & UDP.
Syslog forwarding over TCP, I can see rsyslog forwards multiple syslog
messages(syslog line) in tcp packets.
does rsyslog forward single syslog message or multiple syslog message over
UDP ?
