Hi David, I'll make the change to the template to use $fromhost-ip instead of hostname.
If it's possible to forge the sending system address then I'd like to give it a shot. Is there a way for the receiving syslog server to pull the $hostname from the logs and place them into a folder if it's using rsyslog? Thanks for the help! I'm still trying my best to learn this.
