you can use TLS and relp together. I haven't done so, but I've seen people
talking about doing it.
kerberos is not a replacement for a CA, you will need to create certs to use TLS

Subject: [rsyslog] relp and gssapi
list members,
i currently use relp in my syslog environment, and would like to add gssapi,
if possible. can the two modules be used together, for reliable logging over
authenticated and secured connections? i see that tls is recommended over
gssapi, but i dont have a proper certificate authority setup. i do have
kerberos fully implemented already, and would prefer to use that if i can.
as an aside, would tls and relp work together?
thanks in advance,
brendan
