Andre, in spite of what you said, I would appreciate if we could change the code so that the error message actually indicates what you just said. We only need to be sure that for non-wildcard cases the message is different (and up to the point).
Would you be avalable to do this (if so, I'd appreciate if you could also add a github issue tracker).
