I have a situation where I want to a) filter out and send messages of a certain level or higher (easy to do) b) spool everything else to local disk, subject to expiration or logrotate
However, on demand, I want to be able to send the contents of the local file up to my syslog server. Is there a clean way to do this? I'm thinking maybe I set the rsyslog.conf file to use the local file as the source, the HUP it maybe?
