Dear members,
I try to push syslog messages on a secured connection. My setup is an embedded device running OpenWRT, and my desktop running Debian stable. OpenWRT has its logger functionality that can send log messages using unencrypted TCP. It does work, and I can get the messages on my desktop log files. Unfortunately, there is no native SSL/TLS support in OpenWRT's log systen. I then configured rsyslog to use SSL/TLS. On the device side, I started a socat process that creates a SSL/TLS tunnel. Things seems to work, ie. the SSL connection is created, however, I can't see the messages. I used this tutorial to setup rsyslog: https://www.rsyslog.com/doc/v8-stable/tutorials/tls_cert_summary.html The question is if this setup makes any sense, or it couldn't work at all? If this is a good way, how can I debug this setup? Thanks for your help, Levente _______________________________________________ rsyslog mailing list http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog http://www.rsyslog.com/professional-services/ What's up with rsyslog?
