rsyslog was not able to do a reverse DNS lookup. It could have timed out or there could be something different in the ptr record.

Sorry for the delay,

So two different servers same configuration (7.4.1 official RHEL6 package)

(working one)
FROMHOST: ' server207.somedomain ', fromhost-ip: '10.88.210.28', HOSTNAME:
'server207.somedomain', PRI: 86,

(not working)
FROMHOST: '10.205.26.112', fromhost-ip: '10.205.26.112', HOSTNAME: 'server241',
PRI: 14,

DNS configuration is the same (Puppet). Any idea?

Regards,

Alexandros

Please post an example log, and ideally the output of that log message with the
template RSYSLOG_DebugFormat
