Hi, Redhat 8 default rsyslog configuration file use the imjournal to retrieve the information This article strongly discourages it : https://www.rsyslog.com/doctemp2/doc-unindent/imuxsock/configuration/modules/imjournal.html However at some point it mentions current as of June 2013. Is it still advised by rsyslog to stick with imuxsock unless necessary ? Would it be safe to keep redhat default ? Any experience with imjournal would be valuable. Best regards Philippe
