Thanks Rainer, I was 49% inclined to use something like a user provided csv and then build the actual config files via a Makefile ( after some sanitization ), now I'm 98% convinced :) I'm alrady using lookup tables elsewhere in my conf but it is very hard to extract the usernames from the lines to match them against a lut.... I'm processing logs from various and etherogeneous sources and I'm not very skilled in rsyslog at the moment. Regards
