libfastjson should be in the same repo, add the repo as a source for your system and then apt update; apt dist-upgrade should pull in the latest version of all rsyslog related packages

the link I gave you may be one level down.

Subject: [rsyslog] Version _8.2001.0 for Raspberry Pi stretch Raspian 9.0
    wants unavailable libfastjson4 99.8

Thanks but:

 sudo dpkg -i rsyslog_8.2001.0-1_armhf.deb
(Reading database ... 107135 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack rsyslog_8.2001.0-1_armhf.deb ...
Unpacking rsyslog (8.2001.0-1) over (8.24.0-1) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of rsyslog:
 rsyslog depends on *libfastjson4 (>= 0.99.8);* however:
Version of libfastjson4:armhf on system is 0.99.4-1.
rsyslog depends on initscripts (>= 2.88dsf-13.3); however:
  Package initscripts is not installed.

dpkg: error processing package rsyslog (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Processing triggers for man-db (2.7.6.1-2) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 rsyslog

https://packages.debian.org/stretch/libfastjson4 shows:

Package: libfastjson4 (0.99.4-1)... not .0.99.8

Do you have any suggestions?
