Hi all,

we have released rsyslog 8.2602.0 (2026.02), the February 2026
scheduled-stable release.

Highlights:

1) ROSI Collector
   Production-ready Docker Compose stack for centralized logging.
   Includes rsyslog receiver, Loki, Grafana dashboards, Prometheus,
   Traefik with Let's Encrypt, and optional TLS/mTLS syslog (6514).

2) Named rate limit policies
   New ratelimit() object with shared policies via RateLimit.Name.
   Optional YAML-backed policy files (requires libyaml).
   Default internal rate limit changed to 500 messages / 5 seconds.

3) TLS and security hardening
   Experimental OCSP revocation checking (disabled by default).
   Multiple OpenSSL fixes and robustness improvements.
   wolfSSL backend support.

4) Telemetry integration
   VictoriaMetrics Remote Write support in impstats.
   CI validation for VictoriaLogs via omhttp.
   Optional dynstats persistence.

Also included:
- imtcp MultiLine and regex framing
- DNS SRV discovery in omfwd
- Extensive runtime race-condition fixes
- Queue recovery improvements
- Documentation and build enhancements

New dependencies (distribution names vary):
libyaml-dev, libprotobuf-c-dev, libsnappy-dev,
protobuf-c-compiler
