Patching Redhat (EL4) broke our system too.
Searches weren't working and email correspondence wasn't being sent out.
I followed the advice of someone else who had a similar error message to
the one I got when searching for tickets.
subject: sent on 5/22/2006 "Re: [rt-users]
RT::Interface::Web::QueryBuilder::Tree" at
/usr/local/rt3/share/html/Search/Build.html line 288 error
#This is what I did to fix it (force updated the perl Scalar::Util
module with CPAN)
perl -MCPAN -e shell
cpan> force install Scalar::Util
#then restarted apache
service httpd restart
Things seem OK now.
