We had an issue like this previously on RT3.2 and mysql5 and an upgrade of perl fixed it. I would try that.

RT shows the attachment of the proper type, but when we try to open it the file appears corrupted -- e.g. an XLS file opens in excel, but is unreadable; and JPG pictures only give us a new page with text containing the URL of the file, no content. Anyone else experience this kind of problem? It's becoming an issue for us because more and more of our users are sending their requests with attachments and we are unable to view them.
