My guess is that you're having problems with SearchBuilder. I have a
patch because a client had also problems with CustomFields suddenly. I
traced it to a change in SearchBuilder meant for Pg but also
incorperated into Handle/Oracle.pm
Search the mailinglists (user/developer) for it.
