Check your web server error logs. When I did this I found lots of useful error messages in the error log and was able to find and fix my minor changes and get it working again. Apache loads the RT code when it starts - so if you goon the code it won't start. Scared the heck out of me the first time it happened, thought I'd whacked my apache configs somehow.

I made some changes to the RT code (to the login page, I just added a line of text to see if the change would show up) and attempted to restart httpd. The restart failed and now it won't start at all. I figured it had something to do with the changes I made and restored the original code but I'm still having the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might figure this out?
