Yeah, it's a shame Mr. Chapman didn't bother to document anything...

perl -MCPAN -e 'install RT::Extension::Timeline'
cat 'Set(@Plugins, qw(RTx::Calendar RT::Extension::Timeline));' >>
/opt/rt3/etc/RT_SiteConfig.pm

After that, you get a Timeline tab in Search results. Though it's not clear
how useful
you'll find it, as the timeline entries just show IDs (click each for more
information).
The RTx::Calendar seems to offer a more useful view, and it includes
reminders.
