That *appears* to work on the test message I just sent so hopefully that is it fixed. However now my from name is just the email address (which isn't a problem, it just doesn't look "pretty"!)
One point though. There is no mention that these variables shouldn't be set when the mailer is set to sendmail - bear in mind my mailer is set to sendmailpipe, which while still sendmail, would suggest to me it's not the same "thing" to RT. I would suggest that the default config file is updated to reflect that (if it isn't already and I've just missed it) and that both sendmail and sendmailpipe (and maybe the others) should be specified. I think Jesse is referring to the fact that using FriendlyNameFrom/To isn't supported when your mailagent is Sendmail.
