Hi, Is there any way RT can issue random ticket numbers?
I've seen this asked before in http://lists.bestpractical.com/pipermail/rt-users/2003-October/017898.html For the same reasons with that message, we think it's better to conceal number of tickets handled. Although changing the autoincrement is one solution, it can still be guessed. It would be nice if the autoincrement itself is random (which mysql is incapable of - maybe a perl extension?), but I think this hasn't been done before. Thanks, -- Can Bican
