There are no differences between the two servers both configurations in RT4 and apache2 are identical. The command "/opt/rt4/sbin/rt-server --port 8080" works as expected and allows access to RT however "/opt/rt4/sbin/rt-server.fcgi --port 8080" will not start due to the error listed below. Error: WARNING: RT couldn't start up a web server on port 8080. This is often the case if the port is already in use or you're running /opt/rt4/sbin/rt-server.fcgi as someone other than your system's "root" user. You may also specify a temporary port with: /opt/rt4/sbin/rt-server.fcgi --port <port> Please check your system configuration or choose another port However I understand that is an issue with rt4.1 and will be fixed in .2.
