Is there anyone who has created an unpublished extension to leverage the description field of a CustomField value?
My specific issue is that I want a Custom Field that the user can select (in this case a list of departments), and then use the description (the email address of the departmental contact) to set the requestor value of the ticket. The department list should be relatively static, but the email of the departmental contact may change, and may not be known to the person filling out the form. Is there anything to do this, or another way to link the values (relatively simple, this is a high-visibility project that needs to be done quickly)?
