Yes but that's not what i'm looking for.

I want all our users to be able to see what issues we are already aware of, what we're working on and what has already been fixed.

I don't mind installing another script for that purpose but if RT already does that, i'd better use it.

It's just a bug list page with details.
Have you seen the SelfService interface?  It lets a user see the
status of their own Tickets.

Yes. It's open source and highly extendable. What would it take to
implement? No idea.
