*Below are the Position Details:* *Position: VMware engineer with UCS* *Location: West Chester, PA* *Duration: 6+ month contract * *Visa: ALL ( no OPT )* •Provide engineering support for the blade and server Virtual Environment deployment. •Support, design, testing, review, system maintenance, and other activities as required for the effort •Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environment: vCenter, hypervisor on new hosts, virtual machines, datastore creation and maintenance in coordination with storage engineers •Planning and convert P2V as directed on Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems. Troubleshoot interoperability and performance issues •Maintain virtualized architecture using vCenter •Provide Tier 1 support and administer multiple environments (e.g., production, testing) on multiple enclaves •Coordination/integration with specialists from storage, network, server, and db systems •Provide Tier 2/3 technical support regarding virtualization issues •Diagnose problems on ESXi hosts; troubleshoot technology issues, using various resources; document lessons learned •Follow policies and procedures for change and incident management •Document virtualization environment and keep documents updated per the configuration management plan •Automate processes where appropriate and apply datastore best practices •Health- performance-optimization monitoring of virtualized architecture Qualifications/Skill and Knowledge Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting •7-9 years VMware experience •VMWare Certified Professional vSphere 5.x or Higher– Desired but not required •Expert knowledge of Cisco USC Manager/Central •Proven experience building out Cisco UCS domains •Working knowledge of Cisco UCS B & C-series servers *[email protected]* <[email protected]> *The best way to contact me is by email:* -- Regards, *Qamar **Bilal * Technical Recruiter *VERTEX CONSULTING INC.* www.thevertexgroup.com 935 N.
