SCADA Developer New York City, New York Responsibilities: Assist client to analyze, design (or re-design) and document XA/21 systems Help develop or update custom XA/21 systems including databases and displays Develop and support OSIsoft PI Historian Support commissioning and troubleshooting new equipment on XA/21 and PI systems Support deployment on XA/21 systems Develop XA/21 User Interfaces and related visualizations Contribute when troubleshooting XA/21 systems components Perform data analysis to support evaluation of system defects and to support the operation of the XA/21 system Assist with the programming of related SCADA hardware (modems and RTUs) Create or support the effort to create exhaustive system documentation related to project scope on XA/21 and PI systems Collaborate with client, multiple internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure the project milestones are met and the clients XA/21 system goals are achieved Provide weekly progress updates Required Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience of hands-on work with electric, gas or water SCADA systems, including design, development, configuration, deployment, and maintenance Expert knowledge of GEs XA/21 software with at least 2 years of hands-on work experience Minimum 2 years of experience working with DNP3 communication Assertive with excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related technical field Hands-on experience designing, developing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining SCADA systems Experience with integrating SCADA system with Client interfaces such as PI-OPC, PI-PI, PI-DNP3, PI-RDBMS and PI-UFL system, including installation, configuration and setting up PI points and tuning Experience with Unix, C, Python, Perl, VBA, batch scripting Experience in MS SQL Server 2008, 2012 and 2014 with the ability to create queries, stored procedures, and functions Understanding of IT network communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, TCP/IP, XMPP, DNP, SEL, etc.), networking concepts and related appliances that could impact the SCADA systems architecture Familiar with industry best practices for software development and software development methodologies (Waterfall, SCRUM, XP, etc.) Some experience capturing business requirements and converting them into a final software solution Experience in working with IT development teams in implementing solutions Ability to execute system testing activities and collaborate with testers Ability to provide detailed documentation of end-to-end solution Knowledge of electric utility operation, control and/or optimization Advanced MS Excel skills Good skills and experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio Excellent teamwork-focused/collaborative work style Demonstrated ability to work successfully on highly visible projects and must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance Problem solving skills evidenced by demonstrated results in past positions Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail oriented tasks Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in power systems engineering and/or software development focused on generation, transmission, distribution and/or outage management 3-5 years of experience working with control algorithms and/or software development OSI soft Accredited PI System Infrastructure Specialist and PI System Installation specialist certification Experience working with PI Developer technologies like PI OLEDB Enterprise, PI ODBC, PI AF SDK, PI WebAPI and development of custom utilities using these technologies Experience developing custom applications using Microsoft .Net technology (C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio) and PI SDK, AF SDK Experience developing web services (SOAP/REST) using Microsoft technologies and its integration with PI Notifications Integration of PI and AF based installations with other ERP systems such as Outage Management System, Data Analytics Platform, etc. Experience utilizing Tableau Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related technical field Experience in one or more of the following C#, C++, Java, Linux, cron jobs Analysis Tools experience: ANT, CUnit, JUnit, FxCop and/or PREfast Source Version Control experience: CVS,
