*Rate: Depending on experience* *Duration: 12 months+* *Job Overview & Purpose: * Client in Cleveland is searching for QA Engineers for Software as a Service (SaaS)-based solutions using advanced data management technology, data sciences, and predictive algorithms to identify opportunities for care improvement. The QA Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Watson Health’s test automation. As a QA Engineer, you will have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements of our platform and application quality. Preferred candidates have a strong commitment to continually learn and a desire to continually improve the test automation suite and confidence in the quality of our applications. Successful candidates must have 2+ years’ experience in, and be able to demonstrate • Proficiency in writing Integration or UI Test Automation • Proficiency with one of the following object-oriented programming languages: Ruby on Rails, Java, C++, or C# • Hands-on experience with Agile Development • Ability to deliver modular, testable, and high-performing code in Ruby on Rails (RSpec/Cucumber), JavaScript (JSUnit/Jasmine), and Java (JUnit) *Essential Functions: * • Collaborate on a cross-functional team with other engineers, product management, and user experience to deliver products that delight customers • Work with team members to design, build and maintain functional and performance test automation suites • Champion an environment which ensures quality at every stage in the evolution creating and delivering valuable products • Ensure proper implementation of tools and instrumentation which enables test automation and code quality analysis • Actively participate in the broader software test engineering community to share best practices and learn from peers outside of immediate team • Ensure projects utilize the Watson Health Verification & Validation Processes, sometimes supporting Software Test Analysts with manual and exploratory testing as needed *Minimum Qualifications: *• 2+ years of experience in writing Integration or UI Test Automation. • 2+ years of experience with one of the following object-oriented programming languages: Ruby on Rails, Java, C++, or C# • 2+ years of experience with Agile Development • Ability to deliver modular, testable, and high-performing code in Ruby on Rails (RSpec/Cucumber), JavaScript (JSUnit/Jasmine), and Java (JUnit) • Demonstrated a focus on proven quality engineering practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD)/Business-Driven Development (BDD)/patterns that drive a testable code base • Eagerness to learn and improve test craftsmanship for self and team • Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies and modern application architectures • Understanding of non-functional requirements and testing approaches • Works effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, accountable team environment • Demonstrated working knowledge of relational databases and SQL • Basic knowledge of technologies used in Distributed Database Systems such as Hadoop, HBase, MapReduce, Spark, and Kafka *Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred: *• 3+ years of experience in one of the following object-oriented programming languages: Ruby on Rails, Java, C++, or C# • 3+ years of experience in using JavaScript libraries and frameworks (i.e. jQuery, Backbone.js, Ember.js) to build standards-based, cross-browser web applications • 2+ years of experience working with Continuous Delivery SaaS offerings Thanks...
