*Notes from the Manager:*

•         Non-negotiable skills include scripting background in PowerShell,
Packaging experience in desktop or server (prefers both), in depth
knowledge in troubleshooting applications in both windows and server,
experience in deployment tools such as SCCM. Citrix experience.

•         Minimal on call or overtime work.

•         Experienced with compliance and management of Server
infrastructure.

•         Team fit – someone who is a team player but be able run project
with minimal supervision. Person who knows when to escalate issues,
communicate escalation to manager or assigned project lead.



*Description:*

Chevron is seeking a Senior Software Packager to support the IT Service
Delivery level of the ITC Business Unit. The Senior Software Packager will
engineer application installation upgrades, and patches for Off the Shelf
applications, in-house, custom applications, automation solutions and
perform system integrations across Chevron desktop, server and Citrix
technology platforms. The resource will also participate in the development
of packaging solutions for desktop and servers platform, conversion of
legacy applications, and utilities through the use of MSIX.



Under general supervision, the Software Packager will create software
deployment packages and updates for Off the Shelf applications, in-house,
or custom applications in an enterprise environment, utilizing such tools
as Flexera Admin Studio, Install Shield and Wise Package Studio. The
resource will work on basic to moderately complex applications, develop and
execute test plans prior to software deployment, and maintain documentation
of all customizations and changes made during the packaging process.



*REQUIREMENTS:*


   - 5+ years of software packaging, and/or application development and
   deployment experience, preferably from a large Enterprise organization
   - High School Degree Required
   -  Strong experience of Microsoft Operating Systems (Desktop and Server)
   required
   -  Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in .NET, .BAT, .VBS,
   .WSE, .MSI., .MST, .MSP, SQL Server and similar scripting + database tools,
   Citrix experience required
   - Experience or demonstrated knowledge of deployment tools (e.g. SCCM,
   Marimba, Altiris, Tanium and Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy)
   required
   - Experience with Active Directory and Network Topology required
   - Strong experience in the Windows Registry (32/64 bit architecture)
   manipulation required
   - Strong experience Windows troubleshooting skills; this position will
   often act as the highest level of problem escalation required. Ability to
   communicate escalations when needed required.
   - Experience process and infrastructure compliance and ITIL required.
   - Local candidates required.
   - Strong organizational skills, strong communication skills required.



*Preferred/Plus:*

•         College Degree would be a plus.

•         Knowledge UWP - MSIX packaging development and deployment
experience would be a plus

•         Powershell Scripting experience would be a big plus

•         Experience with the Robotic Process Automation (Orchestrator,
UiPath) to increase efficiencies and reliability – familiar with tools or
automate scripts/processes would be a plus

•         Experience with Azure, AWS or our cloud services with emphasis on
Application deployment would be a plus

•         Project coordination experience – someone who knows how to manage
change, identifying risks, design documents; manage or lead technical
projects, assign tasks

   assessment, software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing, user
   acceptance and communication, and remediation activities associated with
   large scale software deployments.
   - Candidate will help solve complex technical issues and develop
   customized solutions in deploying software applications to a diverse
   workstation/server environment.
   - Candidate will work in a test, configuration management and release
   management environment, interfacing with various process owners.
   - Candidate will participate and/or execute compliance activities
   adhering Corporate standards and policies.
   - Serve in a lead role in meetings relating to specific technical
   projects or tasks.
   - Lead or support IT initiatives and gathers technical requirements as
   needed.
   - Must be able to lead the technical discussions with client
   independently.
   - Reporting on findings, recommendations, escalation to IT Technical
   lead for decisions.
   -  Candidate will need the ability to write technical documentation in
   the form of test plans, installation plans and incident reviews. Interfaces
   with other release team members to ensure all technical aspects of the
   deployment have been accounted for in order to minimize risk to IT
   infrastructure.
   -  Run projects as project coordinator, and be able to manage/administer
   Windows Servers
