Sr. Systems Engineer | Livonia, MI Job Description Your Job Serve as the customer interface for the system design Coordinate the tasks of supporting Systems Engineers Collect and manage customer requirements for negotiation and compliance traceability Identify and propose requirement changes to customers according to the capability of company designs Develop system architecture and behavioral design solutions according to agreed-upon customer requirements Review and approve system test cases to ensure system design coverage Analyze internal test failures to determine root cause and mitigation action Re-create customer reported issues to determine root cause and mitigation action Follow the company development process and tool chain implementation to support the development quality goals Your Knowledge & Skills Bachelor's Degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Five or more years of experience in the field of Automotive Electronics Engineering Experienced with control systems or mechatronic systems is highly desired Experience with Electrical Vehicles and/or low-voltage/high-voltage batteries is highly desired Knowledge of DOORs software tool Knowledge of CAN tools Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink tool Proficiency with Vector CANAlyzer strongly preferred Ability to react to project adjustments promptly and efficiently Strong communication skills - written and verbal Previous experience with a Tier-1 Automotive Supplier is highly desired Primary Skills *BSEE and 8+ years of automotive/aerospace/industrial machine embedded systems design/release/supervisory experience Experience with control systems or mechatronic systems highly desired Experience with Electric Vehicles and/or low voltage / high voltage batteries highly desired Working knowledge of tools such as Vector CANAlyzer and MatLab/Simulink Ability to react to project adjustments promptly and efficiently Strong written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment Tier 1 supplier experience a plus Secondary Skills * Good oral and written English language skills. * Strong technical writing skills. * Ability to effectively represent information and respond to questions in a meeting environment.
