The Client is currently looking for a Database and report developer to be a part of our high-performance agile Metrics, Analytics and Reporting Team.
The ideal candidate is a great team player, will have a minimum of 7 years of database development and will show interest and have been exposed to a multitude of technologies. Would have excellent analytical skills and thorough experience in writing SQL queries, designing tables and creating reports in Tableau. We need someone who wouldn’t have a problem switching from troubleshooting data discrepancies one day, to work in SSRS the next and, create and present a great interactive visual in Tableau the following day; and, still come out smiling. *Principal Responsibilities: * • Database development, reporting development and data migration o Perform database design by analyzing business requirements o Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages • Define and develop a data migration strategy between different products and platforms • Write, optimize and tune complex SQL scripts • Design, develop and migrate SSRS reports • Must have a thorough knowledge of, and experience building ETL jobs utilizing SSIS packages for data import, export, normalization and manipulation • Meet with business experts to analyze and document requirements from a database perspective • Assist database administrators (DBA) in defining architectural standards for database applications • Extremely strong database skills (MySQL, SQL Server, etc) • Create a data dictionary that will improve trust and data usage • Solid experience with reporting tools (Tableau) • Proven ability writing and developing reports in Tableau • Building customized interactive reports and dashboards, report scheduling in Tableau Server • Establish and maintain working relationships with technical and architectural team members across the technology organization *Your Qualifications: * *Minimum Requirements: * • Must have 7+ years of experience in relational database development or administration in a commercial enterprise setting o B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent work experience • 7+ year experience in database design, development/administration and implementation experience may be substituted for degree • Must demonstrate a clear understanding of the logical and physical database design and data normalization concepts • Must have extensive hands-on experience with MS SQL Server 2012 SSIS, MS SQL Server 2012 SSRS • Excellent, proven troubleshooting and problem resolution skills • Tableau: 3 years (Required) • Tableau Server: 2 years *Preferred Skills/Previous Experience: * • Must have a team-based attitude and be skilled at building constructive and effective relationships • Experience with agile software development life cycle • Javascript experience (nice to have) • Google Analytics/ any web analytics tool exposure (nice to have) *. *Strong technical documentation skills.
