HIL HW Engineer Milford CT Must Power and Hardware Design, ICU design not necessary with Transmission, but ECU related design. Must have GM Powertrain experience. Job Description * ECU hardware Design - Engie or Transmission control Design - MUST Almost 5 years of the automotive experience that covers product development, software requirements, system verification and validation testing * with Hardware in loop systems and validating the algorithms using MIL approach to ensure all the input and outputs are fully tested for ECM platforms prior to test on the actual Machines * With over 2 years of experience in creating plant models, HIL testing and validating using dSPACE. * Over one year of hands on experience working with ECU's for automotive applications using dSPACE tools * Hands on experience with calibration tools like Control Desk, Automation Desk, MotoTune and familiar with INCA. * Knowledge on CAN J1939 communication protocols, analyzing and diagnosing messages in CANoe/CANalyzer * Developed back propagation algorithm and genetic algorithm in MATLAB to train artificial neural network * Theoretical and conceptual knowledge in Control Theory and understanding Plant dynamics * Familiar with Product development cycle, DVP&R, Agile & Waterfall methodologies * Experience in Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, dynasty. Familiar with Hardware-in-the-loop(HIL), Model-in-the- loop(MIL) and Software-in-the-loop(SIL) Validation, control desk design and development. * Extensive Programming Knowledge in C, LabVIEW * Proficient in CAN protocol, J1939, and in using engine tools (CANalyzer, CANape, Oscilloscopes) to capture ECU data, flashing the ECU control modules and monitor engine health (diagnostics and events) * Maintained MRETs for HIL (Hardware in loop) testing, documented and constructed electrical harness * Proficient in understanding of issues involved with Communication Protocols and Hardware debugging * Excellent communications skills, program Management, flexibility and positivity in working * Designed, developed custom applications & automation systems.
