Mechanical Designer Burlington IA Job Description 1. Technical and scientific proficiency and leadership Demonstrates solid technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of engineering assignments, mainly in industrialization activities, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions. 2. Projects, processes and tools Embedded in the Burlington manufacturing team, the role is to prepare CAD data as needed by the manufacturing team for the fabrication equipment at the Burlington site. Documentation of the complete file handling and storage process, starting from converting CREO 3D CAD models to the files required by manufacturing equipment. Coordination with third party to improve the efficiency of the above process 3. Collaboration interfaces and knowledge transfer Close collaboration with R&D developers and the local manufacturing team in Burlington site to implement an efficient process to prepare and store part data needed for manufacturing. Participates constructively in working teams. Supports colleagues in applying processes and tools to ensure timely and high-quality results. Shows solid documentation skills and writes technical reports independently. Preferred Background in Switchgear System industrialization. Primary Skills Background in Switchgear System industrialization. Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience working independently in industrialization projects. Competent in Creo and Windchill. Secondary Skills experience in preparation of CAD data as needed by the manufacturing team for the fabrication equipment. converting CREO 3D CAD models to the files required by manufacturing equipment.
