*Configuration Management Database Administrator*
*Location : Bridgewater, NJ*
*Duration : 6+ Months Project*
*Job Roles / Responsibilities:*
- The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administrator will have
the responsibility for applying the CMDB process within the organization,
working closely with process leads to ensure that Configuration Item
attributes and relationship specific information can be gathered and
disseminated using efficient and consistently followed processes.
- This role will work closely with the ServiceNow Incident, Problem,
Change, and Service Request process managers and also with the customer.
The candidate will administer, manage and carry out all aspects of the CMDB
process. This role will also ensure data yielded from this process will be
of high quality and provide management with the right level of business
intelligence and reporting.
- The candidate is responsible for carrying out the daily task
activities resulting from Change, Incident and Request management modules.
- The candidate will serve as a point of contact for any CMDB issues
with stakeholders as well as with L2 Configuration team.
- The candidate will facilitate periodic configuration audits to verify
the configuration of controlled items
- Ensure and maintain the integrity of the CMDB data, Monitor health,
usage and overall compliance of the application
*Skills: *
• Must have working knowledge of the ITIL process of
Configuration Management (CMDB) and basic knowledge of the other processes.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel as well as other
Microsoft tools to perform metrics and KPIs.
• Must have basic knowledge of IT Infrastructure components
and/or technology.
• Implements the CMDB policy and standards and provides
guidance to all CMDB stakeholders as well end users on how to follow CMDB
processes.
• Utilizes current best practices for CMDB procedures and
provides input or feedback for continuous improvement of Configuration
Management best practices.
• Identifies exceptions or risks to the CMDB process, which may
negatively impact the accuracy of Configuration data.
• Must have good communication and collaborative skills.
• Detail oriented and good organizational skills.
*Education :*
Minimum- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
