*Job Description:* - The client is currently looking for smart and self-motivated Data Modeler/Architect with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. *Minimum/General Experience/Education:* - Minimum 4-5 years of Data Architect/Modeler experience. - BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology Field. *Responsibilities:* - Provide further business analysis - Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements - Design and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including versioning, change management and governance - Provide data analyst services that facilitate efficient and accurate data load into integrated schemes within the data warehouse - Document business and technical metadata that has been captured during the data modeling and business analysis processes - Maintain enterprise metadata so that it can be reported and leverage for re-use - Develop and enhance the Metadata Repository - Audit and enhance the quality and currency of metadata - Identify requirements for indexing and indexing schemes - Normalize and denormalize data structures - Interpret SQL programming and provide SQL query development - Support migration of data models between data model repositories - Define and maintain FSA/DBMO standards for data object naming and other data administration standards - Strong verbal and written communication skills required - Data profiling for quality and ETL data handling requirements. - Meta data capture, maturity and management. *Qualifications* - SAP/*PowerDesigner modeling suite* - *Dimensional modeling and/or relational modeling* - Intermediate SQL on multiple platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Informix). - Version management repository (TortoiseSVN preferred). - Data access tools (SQL Server Management Studio, TOAD, etc.) - Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and Informix environments. ?*The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in:* - Waterfall, Iterative, Agile and hybrid SDLC methodologies. - DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DAMA DM-BOK). - Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) framework and/or other architecture frameworks. - Third Normal Form (3NF), Data Vault and Dimensional database design patterns. - Data Quality concepts and management practices. - Data Warehouse architectures – Inmon, Kimball, Lindstet. - Structured, Semi-Structured and Unstructured data Thanks...
