Title: Senior ETL Database Developer Rate : $/hr Location: San Jose, CA Client : HCL America Looking for a developer with Experience in Java, Database, Shell/ Perl scripting with at least 8 - 10 years of experience in designing and implementing highly scalable models that support large volumes of reporting data. Must to have: . Experience in Java programming and MSSQL Database development . Proficiency with at least one dynamic scripting language (JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.) . Willing to explore new tools and technologies such as MS Flow, SharePoint API's, Outlook 365 API's etc. . Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale OLTP and Data Warehousing applications in a production environment Understanding and comfort with data extraction via API. Works directly with stakeholders across product, business operations, engineering, and service delivery to understand and gather problem statements and research questions. Helps design and implement systems that will collect or aggregate structured or unstructured data for later analysis. Competence with database structures and design and some SQL development skills. Nice to have: Good understanding of BI tools such as PowerBI/Tableau/QlikView Working Knowledge with development lifecycle tools, such as, Jira, Jenkins, DevOps tools Experience using and comfort working in GitHub. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with Business Analysts of different functional teams like HR, Finance, Sales, Product, to gather reporting requirements Design a scalable, secure system that is highly performant and meets the requirements of the business functions Implement automation of data ingestion, data processing and data uploads on a pre-defined cadence Lead the analysis of test data requests, defines test data characteristics, and the design, development, and implementation of test data automation. Create and validate test data all phases of testing.
