Project Details: Role:Network Engineer Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 6 months Interview Criteria: F2F *Job Description:* Strong working knowledge of various Windows operating systems (XP/Win7/Win10) Required 3 Years Windows Server 2008/2012 - administration and support experience (related to networking/user account/troubleshooting) Required 3 Years Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with networks, network devices, desktop hardware, various operating systems and application software Required 3 Years Advanced knowledge of computer software and database programs Required 3 Years Knowledge/experience installing different types of fiber cabling Highly desired 2 Years 4 year degree in information technology or related field Highly desired Certification in MSCE, Comptia Net+, Comptia A+, or a combination thereof Required Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of various Windows operating systems such as XP/Win7/Win10, Server 2008/2012 and associated products to include but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with networks, network devices, desktop hardware, various operating systems and application software in a LAN / standalone environment. Knowledge of administrative and office management principles and practices. Ability to work effectively in a both a team and independent environment. Advanced knowledge of computer software including operating systems and database programs. Knowledge with installing different types of fiber cabling is not required but helpful. This position must be able to perform with minimal direct supervision and may be required to use their home as a base of operation. Significant travel (usually day trips) may be required. Education A degree in information technology or related field is preferred or equivalent experience may be substituted. Selected individuals should have certification such as an MSCE, Comptia Net+, Comptia A+ or a combination of these certifications. Selected interview candidates will have a minimum of two years or more work experience in the computer support field. A combination of desktop, server & network support is required.
