Position Title: MS SQL Server DBA - LOCALS ONLY
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 3+ months 
Interview Mode: Telephone/Face to Face

VISA: USC/GC ONLY NO EAD's
 
 Responsibilities:
Handle many end-to-end Databases and Manage all aspects of database design, implementation, administration, and support processes to ensure the availability, operability, and stability of data assets.
Research and recommended new technologies to achieve improved architectural performance while controlling the costs of IT operations across the enterprise.
Assess application, environment, network, or storage issues and make recommendations to improve overall performance.
Work to establish best practice and methodology in architecture, design and development.
SQL Tuning including analyzing existing code and providing recommendations for improvement.
Provide technical and business subject matter expertise to the data modelers and other developers.
Discover and implement performance and uptime improvement strategies.
What you need:
 
5+ Years of experience in MS-SQL, SQL Tuning, T-SQL, PL-SQL
 
Experience in IIS OR Sharepoint.
 
Exposure with SQL Server/MySQL  Setup, Configuration and Troubleshooting.
 
Backup and Recovery: Logical backups, MAN Catalogue
