SAS Admin

·        Strong skill in SAS Admin. Unix/Linux System Administration –
scripting and configuration, commands, troubleshooting

·        Understand requirements, build codes, support testing and fix
defects with the objective of developing high standard and stable codes
within the limits of the Cognizant processes, standards and guidelines.

·        Exposure to Big Data especially HDFS (preferable)

·        Experience with Incident Support and Change Management Systems
(e.g. Service Now, Remedy etc.)

·        Experience in Infrastructure Support and Configuration Management

·        Experience in software deployments and promoting it to different
environments

·        Good communication skills and process knowledge

Role:

·        Support the current SAS and SPSS Environments

·        Support the next generation platform based on Hadoop (coordination
work with the support teams)

·        Responsible for day-to-day support and liaison to
technical/infrastructure  resources for trouble shooting  platform issues
and timely resolution

·        Coordinate with infrastructure and vendor (SAS and SPSS) on
applying fix packs, product upgrades

·        Raising appropriate incident tickets and coordinating with support
teams for timely resolution

·        Monitoring process workloads that impact the platforms and
communicating the results to the respective project teams

·        Deployment support and Promotion to production environments with
the support of the platform tech leads. Requirement Understanding and
Analysis- Understand the functional/ non-functional requirements

·         Participate in client calls and prepare the clarification list to
seek clarifications

·         Prepare the list of requirements and seek review inputs from the
key stakeholders

·         Update requirements traceability matrix Create impact analysis
document (for simple change) to understand the impact on the existing
functionality, as required Design- Provide inputs to create the low level
design for the module based on the understanding of the requirement and HLD
Identify the list of reusable assets that can be used and share inputs
Share the list of components with the Senior Developer/ other relevant
stakeholders.
