Roleand Responsibilities

·        ForwardPlan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio

·        Manage risks andresolves issues that affect release scope, schedule 
and quality

·        Measureand monitor progress to ensure application releases are 
delivered on time andwithin budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations

·        Coordinaterelease content and effort based on the service request 
backlog, pending servicerequests, third party applications, or operating system 
updates

·        Communicateall key project plans, commitments, and changes including 
requirements, QAplans, schedule, and scope changes

·        Managerelationships and coordinate work between different teams at 
differentlocations

·        ConductRelease Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business 
Go/No-Go reviews

·        ProduceDeployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans

·        WeeklyRelease Reporting

·        Communicaterelease details and schedules to the Business as required

·        Negotiate,plan and manage all release activities

·        Workwith release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code 
merges

·        Maintainsthe release schedule for all core services and ensure 
alignment across keypartners and vendors.

·        Continuallywork towards making improvements in the release process

·        Leadand co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of 
thedeployment Plans and checklists.

·        Developsscripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and 
deploy softwarereleases to various platforms

·        Participatein CAB meetingsto discuss release scope and/or roadblocks

·        Maintainsa release repository and manages key information such as 
build and releaseprocedures, dependencies, and notification list

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’sdegree in Computer Science or related field

·        2-6years of previous release and/or project management experience, 
(Solidunderstanding of project management principles preferred)

·        8-10years of experience in information systems operations environment 
in systemsanalysis or development

·        Formaltraining in project management practices preferred

·        Advancedknowledge of software development lifecycle

·        Demonstratedability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward 
task completion

·        Demonstratedeffective leadership and analytical skills

·        Advancedwritten and verbal communication skills are a must
