*Position: Citrix Engineer*
*Location: Addison, TX*
*Duration: 6 Months +*
*Responsibilities*
The Citrix Engineer will be focused primarily on the support of Concentra’s
Citrix environment by providing high-class troubleshooting and solutions
to problems relating to the Citrix platform. The individual maintains and
monitors how the Citrix settings and dependencies perform. Also, he/ she
offers Citrix support and perform administrative duties relating to the
final consumer’s environment. The professional ensures that the Citrix
server’s off-hour upgrades and upkeep, get applied and coordinated.
Additionally, the Citrix Engineer will provide technical guidance and
oversight for mission-critical Application, Core Infrastructure and
Virtualization projects.
Job Functions
- Provide systems administration and support, develop effectiveness and
manageability of Citrix environment.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues, and drive the analysis and
documentation of technical requirements for enterprise Citrix XenApp
architecture, guiding adoption of and adherence to standard operating
procedures.
- Responsible for and maintaining windows servers, including building
and patching
- Improving and adjusting the Virtual Desktop system.
- Design and implement platform security.
- Provide detailed documentation and KB articles to solution center
support.
- Able to work on an On-Call rotation responding to alerts within the
defined SLA
- Enterprise level Active Directory and Group Policy design
- Demonstrable experience automating complex tasks
- Understanding of Windows Internals and system level debugging
*Qualifications*
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent is
required. Certifications in the field are welcomed.
Qualifications
- 6+ years experience on mid to large scale IS operations.
- Citrix 6.5/7.15 and higher experience.
- Knowledge of Xenapp and Xendesktop.
- Knowledge of VMware Vcenter product suite.
- Knowledge of Windows 2008 / 2012 / 2016 server.
- Enterprise level Active Directory and Group Policy design
- Ability to write scripts to improve performance, resolve issues and
automate processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
- Must possess a personal sense of urgency.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business
priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
