*Job Overview*
The experienced sql based ETL Developer consultant will play a hands-on
role designing and developing ETL data pipelines using standard sql query
language, along with shell scripts as part of large Healthcare data
warehousing projects. Perficient seeks enthusiastic consultants who enjoy
solving tough industry and technical problems and building tools to enable
Perficient’s customers to elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of
Healthcare delivery within the United States.
*Responsibilities:*
- Collaborate with technical and solution architects to understand the
key business and architectural requirements, and participate on defining
the appropriate ETL and data solution designs to meet the customers
technical and business needs.
- Perform ETL data pipeline design, development and unit testing,
including data acquisition, cleansing, standardization, validation,
staging, database persistence, and job execution processes.
- Perform data analysis and profiling as part of the development process
to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality tested code
is delivered in a consistent fashion.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of job scheduling,
deployment and administration activities.
- Author design specifications, unit test plans, implementation release
notes, and sections of the operational Run Book.
- Assist with code validation, testing, triage, deployment and
implementation.
*Qualifications:*
- *5+ years of experience working on ETL data integration projects which
involve data warehouse implementation or expansion. *
- *3+ years of focused hands-on data development experience leveraging
sql query language development techniques.*
- *3+ years of experience writing and implementing Unix/Linux shell
scripts to orchestrate and control execution and sequence of ETL jobs. *
- *This role requires superb SQL query language skills and experience
and strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.*
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- *Must be a results driven, self-starter who is comfortable working in
an environment where limited oversight and direction is provided.*
- *Past consulting experience required.*
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Prior experience working in the Healthcare payer domain (nice to have).
