Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents
requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel
overall business strategies.
May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 6 years or
equivalent experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with
relational database concepts, and client-server concepts.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of complicated tasks.
May lead and direct the work of Contractor staff. A wide degree of creativity
and latitude is expected.
The purpose of this request is to procure Data/Systems Analysis services for
ODOT Transportation Development Branch in support of the Traffic Count
Management System replacement project. The contractor will be responsible for
data and systems analysis for the implementation of a COTS and SaaS Traffic
Count application. The role of this contractor may include:
* Contribute or facilitate requirements gathering, business process, and
JAD sessions
* Identify, define, and document data requirements
* Conduct data migration activities including planning, preparing,
extracting, transforming, conversion mapping, transferring data from legacy
system to source system and data validation
* Conduct and support data cleanup activities
* Conduct an assessment of the current system and document As-Is processes
* Create functional specifications for interfaces, extracts and reports
* Build reports and extracts
* Prepare test data, write queries, and support testing activities
* Contribute to the requirements traceability matrix
* Contribute to data integration activities
* Possibly contribute to system integration activities
Required Skills:
* Must have experience with writing SQL
* Must have experience with data mapping, manipulation and analysis
* Must have the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
* Must have the ability to interact with customers, lead meetings,
clearly understand customer needs, and document those needs
* Must have experience in data management, Functional Specification
writing, and testing procedures
* Should be familiar with relational database concepts
* Data administration skills a plus
