*Role:** Splunk Developer*
*Location:** Chesterfield , MO*
*Duration:** 6 Months*
*Responsibilities:*
· 8+ years of IT experience
· 3+ years of data warehouse experience
· 3+ years of experience designing and managing Splunk Dashboards,
reports, lookup tables, and summary indexes, including Splunk SPL
· 3+ years of experience in establishing Splunk infrastructure
including installation
· Proficiency in navigating on premise large-scale distributed
Splunk deployments with separate deployment, license, and monitoring
console servers controlling indexer clusters, search head clusters, and
load balanced Heavy Forwarders, with daily ingestion in the 2 to 4TB range.
· Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in data onboarding from
varied data sources – Databases, application log files, remote syslogs,
HTTP event collectors, Event Logs, scripted inputs, and dedicated vendor
apps
· Proficiency in creating custom source types to parse complicated
non-standard data formats.
· 3+ years of data modeling experience
· Must have knowledge on Splunk DB connectors, indexing, search tags
· 3+ years of experience writing relational database queries for
stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
· 3+ years of Shell scripting experience
· 3+ years of data visualization experience
· Experience with servers or systems
· Ability to analyze metrics and articulate data trends both
visually and verbally
· Ability to create dashboards and reporting
· Advanced troubleshooting skills
· Knowledge and understanding of relational database designing
schema, stored procedures, and views for performance with large data set.
*Preferred Skill:*
· Splunk Certified Admin
· Splunk Certified Architect
· Splunk Certified Consultant
· Knowledge of Insurance claims or healthcare
