Keeping stakeholders within OA, Delivery Centers and agencies informed on projects by creating dashboards and providing regular reports to executive leadership as to the status of assigned project initiatives. Interact and coordinate with OA leadership and business partners in establishing/maintaining project direction, resolving issues, managing stakeholder expectations, and obtaining project objectives. Relationship building with key project stakeholders and team members to ascertain, align, and achieve goals and to ensure lines of communication are clear, accurate, and timely. Identifying and documenting accomplishments; performance, and outcome data; and lessons learned for assigned project initiatives and IT Governance initiatives. Making decisions within the designated authority as defined in the charter to minimize project risk (personnel, cost, timeframe, policy, scope and quality) supported by sound analysis and application of project management tools (i.e., Earned Value Management (EVM), Change Management, risks/issues management, etc) and project management best practices. Ensures IT capital investments are sound business and technical decisions that will yield the best possible results for the Commonwealth by analyzing the associated project charters, business cases, risks, and applying working knowledge of agency and OA initiatives, project management earn valued tools, business case and applicable financial analysis methodologies and best practices. Ensuring that assigned OA sponsored projects are being managed following project management best practices. Identify and manage project risk and developing risk mitigation strategies; direct risk-impact assessments and invoke change control process as required to effectively deal with issues and make recommendations to ensure that the project stays on course and achieve the expected outcomes. Tracking costs against projected spending plans; direct risk-impact assessments and invoke change control process as required. Develop outcome measures and monitoring the progress towards those outcomes Schedule and direct work with team members to balancing workload with project members’ capacity. Resolving conflicts with diplomacy and sensitivity in a timely manner. Routine updates to the OA leadership team of critical matters related to assigned projects and initiatives. The Senior Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) brings proven experience from related businesses or organizations as well as system integration and technology experience. They consult with the client to define needs or problems, conduct research, perform studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyze problems to advise and make recommendations on business and technical solutions based on hands-on experience solving similar business problems. They are able to utilize knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization.
