*Location:: Lansing, MI*
*Dur: 1 year*
* Visa: USC-GC, H1b. No opt/cpt*
*Job Description:*
-
- Support, manage, install, upgrade and monitor health of
Cloudera/HortonWorks HDP Cluster
- Manage processes to load and provide data with various systems such
as WhereScape Red (ETL Automation tool), Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, and
other data sources.
- Serve as a liaison between Software Engineers, Quality Assurance
Engineer, System Administrators, Database Administrators, Network
Administrators, IT Security to ensure smooth and continuous software
delivery to production
- Coordinate, manage, and perform deployments and releases
- Develop, execute and manage scripts that automate releases and
deployments.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information
Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience is
preferred

- 3+ years of experience administering Data Lake infrastructure
- Cloudera/HortonWorks certified admin is a bonus
- Experienced in using Ambari to manage and monitor Hadoop cluster
- Experience configuring Linux security as well as policies in Ranger
- Experience in setting and troubleshooting knox
- Understand Hadoop Architecture specifically HortonWorks\Cloudera HDP
- Experienced in coding automation scripts using Python, Puppet,
Shell scripting
- Must have adequate knowledge of Linux operating system and shell
scripting
- Understand how Yarn works and how various engines such as Tez and
Spark work within YARN
- Able to add / remove nodes from a Hadoop cluster
Working knowledge of HortonWorks\Coudera HDP cluster
